Van der Valk sales manager Yoeri Bijker also joins the conversation to explain how the close cooperation involved in the design and engineering of Lady Lene required a different approach from the yard during the build process. As previously unseen footage of the interior makes clear, the results really do speak for themselves.

Diana Yacht Design  | New heights of excellence
Join Diana Yacht Design’s creative director and chief naval architect onboard the Van der Valk explorer Lady Lene in this short film. Talking of which, we hear how the exceptionally high ceilings on Lady Lene were achieved along with complete wheelchair accessibility. Hans-Maarten also gives a fascinating insight into how the construction of bespoke builds can change mid-project… And the effect that can have on his weekends. He also reveals how the Hull Vane transom wing reduces resistance and flattens stern waves. Expertly built by Van der Valk, Lady Lene even goes three knots faster than the original spec. See how here…

Hull Vane | The Hull Vane Explained
