Van der Valk introduces design for modern yacht in acclaimed Flybridge series

Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands has unveiled a striking new modern version of its successful Flybridge series of powerboats. Designed by Cor D. Rover, the new 24-metre model features the premium quality and craftsmanship typical of Van der Valk, while introducing floor-to-ceiling windows that allow sweeping vistas of the outside world. Van der Valk will present the new design at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival from 10 to 15 September.

Initially launched in 2007 under the name Continental 2, Van der Valk’s Flybridge range has consistently maintained a high level of popularity. Fifteen have been sold so far, establishing the series through their excellent quality, state-of-the-art technology and sophisticated look. Highlights include trendsetters such as Joy, Valencia and Anemeli. A versatile model known for its superior value retention over time, the Flybridge is equally suited for lone yachtsmen, couples, families and sailing with a crew.

Complementing the series
Built in aluminium, the new modern Flybridge is not intended to replace the more classic model, which is expected to remain very popular in the coming years. It will instead complement the options for clients having been specially designed for ease of operation and even single-handed cruising.

The new Flybridge will have triple Volvo Penta IPS1050 engines and fully epitomise the quality, craftsmanship and aesthetic flair for which Van der Valk yachts are renowned. Perhaps its most striking element will be the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, affording extraordinary panoramas of the surroundings. It will also be spacious, boasting four double cabins, four bathrooms, and crew quarters.

Come to Cannes
The Van der Valk team will be on hand to discuss this exciting modern design at the Cannes Yachting Festival on 10-15 September, where the yard will occupy stand SYE 224 and berth SYE 039. On display will be two of the yard’s latest launches, the first BeachClub 660 Flybridge and the custom 32-metre Raised Pilothouse Jangada 2. More information can be found on Van der Valk’s newly upgraded website, which provides a wealth of news, information and images.
