30.88m Project Berlin Set to Enter Outfitting Phase
Van der Valk has announced a significant milestone in the build of Project Berlin, its 30.88-metre custom aluminium raised pilothouse motor yacht, with the vessel set to enter the outfitting phase following the successful joining of the wheelhouse to the superstructure.
The completion of the superstructure installation marks a key step forward for the project, which has been progressing at the Waalwijk-based yard since the keel was laid in November 2025. Designed in collaboration with Guido de Groot Design, Project Berlin features purposeful and dynamic lines on a hard chine semi-displacement hull, and has been tailored extensively to the wishes of her experienced owners.
The yacht is designed to offer the comfort and volume of a larger superyacht while remaining under the 24-metre regulatory threshold — a deliberate choice that simplifies technical requirements and enhances operational flexibility. Highlights of the design include a full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck, just two generous VIP staterooms below, a large saloon with nearly three-metre drop-down windows, and an expansive sundeck with a spa pool, outdoor galley and barbecue area.
With the superstructure now complete, the yard will soon turn its attention to the interior fit-out, where the owners have been closely involved in shaping a bespoke design described as modern and playful in ambiance. Project Berlin is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2027.
