Overview

Seeing is believing… Launch of first BeachClub showcases amazing space of new Van der Valk serie

After years of development and months of construction, the very first BeachClub motoryacht has seen the light of day in the Netherlands. The launch at the Van der Valk yard makes clear how this radical shift in spatial thinking will benefit the next generation of motoryacht owners. The 19-metre BeachClub 600 will now embark on sea trials before being presented to the public at the major boat shows in the months ahead.

Visitors to Van der Valk’s recent open house event were astonished at the amount of space that the BeachClub 600 offers for leisure purposes both inside and out. And now that the first model has been launched into the water it is even easier to imagine how living so close to the water will feel on this revolutionary motoryacht.

Smart thinking
In retrospect one wonders why no-one else came up with the idea of placing an engine room within the swimming platform area. But it is Van der Valk clients who are now set to reap the rewards of this ingenious solution, developed in partnership with two other stars of the Dutch yachting world, Ginton Naval Architects and designer Cor D. Rover.

The design offers an unprecedented amount of room on the lower deck, with three outdoor zones: the 14 m² beach deck with sun lounge, a 17 m² cockpit deck with outside steering and the enormous 25 m² foredeck. Ample space is retained for indoor luxury: an upper salon with helm and panoramic views, a lower deck lounge with galley & dinette (linked to the beach club via stunning glass doors), and three suites, including a master with phenomenal all-round views.

Glass inserts in the hull add further class to the yacht’s elegant exterior. The BeachClub 600 features twin Volvo Penta IPS-950 engines, giving a top speed of 25 knots.
