Van der Valk’s 48m flagship takes shape
Boutique Dutch shipyard Van der Valk has officially started construction of its most ambitious and largest custom build to date: the 48-metre "Project ZEN" (Yard no. WV0149). This sleek, low-profile raised pilothouse design combines the refined exterior and interior vision of Guido de Groot with the cutting-edge expertise of Van Oossanen Naval Architects. Commissioned by an experienced owner, the aluminium yacht promises to deliver an exceptional balance of style, performance and substance.
Van der Valk launches 35m LALABE ahead of Cannes debut
Under blue skies and with the late Spring sun shining down, Van der Valk launched its latest custom superyacht at its Waalwijk shipyard in the south of the Netherlands on Saturday 24 May. The launch of the 35-metre Project Samba signifies the move to sea trials and final fit-out of the yacht before she is delivered to her owners this summer bearing the name LALABE.
Van der Valk opens brand-new construction hall
Having firmly established itself as a niche leader in the market for fully custom motoryachts between 25 and 47 metres in length, Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands has opened a brand-new construction facility. Offing a state-of-the-art environment for the yard’s expert craftsmen, Hall 7 joins six other facilities on premises spanning over 9000 square metres and offering access to the water via 120 metres of dock.
Samba and the rhythms of life

An evolution in sur mesure: Third Jangada sets new benchmark for 35-metre custom build
Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands has announced a new order for the tailor-made superyacht Jangada. Following on from the 25-metre Jangada and 32-metre World Superyacht Award nominee Jangada, this 35-metre project will showcase how evolving client wishes can be seamlessly met when a yard has the flexibility, capacity and willingness to fully go with the flow.
Stunning footage of EDGE 65 in Bahamas
Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands has released the first images of the striking new EDGE 65 in her natural habitat of the Bahamas. While this sporty blend of luxury cruiser and offshore speed machine would be equally at home exploring shallow waters and breathtaking bays the world over, the launch model for the new bespoke line was custom-created with the Exumas in mind. And, as these photographs and video footage show, living life on the EDGE as rarely looked so good.
Introducing Project EVO: Van der Valk’s largest all-custom superyacht
Van der Valk in the Netherlands has started construction on Project EVO, a completely custom 40-metre superyacht that will be the largest built by the yard to date in terms of length and volume. Its sleek exterior was originally penned by SFG Yacht Design and Fancy by Dada, with Cristiano Gatto Design adding new length and angles to the profile while also creating an exceptionally detailed interior. This all-aluminium bluewater cruiser will have a round bilged fast displacement hull and a target top speed of 24 knots.
Shared vision meets smart synergies on Project 111.11

Rover, the new 24-metre model features the premium quality and craftsmanship typical of Van der Valk, while introducing floor-to-ceiling windows that allow sweeping vistas of the outside world. Van der Valk will present the new design at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival from 10 to 15 September.
