Out now: Issue two of the Van der Valk Magazine

We are delighted to present the second issue of our Van der Valk magazine! Building on the success of our first issue, this is a truly bumper edition, offering 124 pages worth of yachting content, thought-provoking columns, fascinating profiles, travel inspiration, gourmet food and culture recommendations – and much more.

Following a highly productive and successful 2022 for Van der Valk, we are pleased to share the latest news from our shipyard within these pages.

Alongside starting work on our fourth BeachClub model and the continuing success of our range of explorer, flybridge and raised pilothouse vessels, we can also introduce our new line, ‘the Edge,’ which has been developed in collaboration with repeat clients who are now on their third Van der Valk vessel. Created with the dynamic Dutch duo of Cor D. Rover and Delta Naval Architects, you can see our high-performance brand-new EDGE 65 for yourself on page 114.

As our unique reputation for delivering Dutch-engineered, beautifully designed custom yachts within the 25-40 metre range continues to grow within the industry, we proudly present our Blue Jeans on page 34, giving you the opportunity to step on board and marvel at her magnificent interiors which come from from the drawing boards of our expert team (although we do say so ourselves!).

Naturally, it wouldn’t be a yachting magazine without aiming to inspire a little bit of wanderlust in our readers. We’ve got tales of a journey through the starkly beautiful Patagonia (p.12), a catch-up with the captains of our 28.5-metre Venera following their recent transatlantic adventures  (p.98), and a look at the often-overlooked offerings of the South East Caribbean (p.74).

We know that our discerning readers also enjoy broadening their horizons through exploring new hobbies both at sea and on land! To this end, we browse through the top superyacht toys for 2023 (p.32), as well as taking a long, hard look at the future of private aviation (p.110), deep diving into the world of submersibles (p.104) – and then having some much-needed fun on the ultimate (and coolest-ever) e-bike with the experts at Netherlands-based Trefecta (p.84).

All of this, and so much more, can be found inside. So what are you waiting for?
