Busy days in Cannes

It’s the third day of the Cannes Yachting Festival and there’s a buoyant atmosphere here on the French Riviera. Various members of the Van der Valk management team are manning our stand (SYE 012) in the Vieux Port and thoroughly enjoying meeting both clients and people considering building a VdV motoryacht. We’re also giving exclusive tours onboard Lady Lene who is already proving to be one of the stars of the show. Come see for yourself between now and Sunday!

The IYBA view
The tri-deck explorer Lady Lene is also the subject of the video you can watch below. Two of the key players in her creation at our yard – general manager Bram Kooltjes and head of sales & marketing Yoeri Bijker – talk with Paul Flannery, COO of the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA), about Lady Lene and how she stands out in the current premium motoryacht market.

Peer praise
Having already received a Judges Commendation at the World Superyacht Awards, Lady Lene is also among the finalists for the World Yachts Trophies event at Cannes. We also have high hopes that this 34-metre beauty will do well at the BI Design Awards early next year. While pleasing owners is always our first and foremost priority at Van der Valk, it is wonderful when our industry peers recognise the quality of each and every yacht we launch.
