Bespoke Blue Jeans on an award roll
Having already won a World Superyacht Award in May and been nominated for several other top trophies, it was clear that our industry and media colleagues are pretty impressed with Blue Jeans. Despite all the recognition, however, we as a yard and all who played their part in the creation of this all-custom raised pilothouse boat were delighted to hear she is now up for three prestigious prizes at this year’s BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards.
A homage to the naval architecture, styling and tech of superyachts delivered within the past year, the winners will be announced in the Austrian alpine resort of Kitzbühel on 28 January. Blue Jeans is a finalist in the following categories:
· Outstanding Exterior Design – Motor Yachts, 24m to 39.9m
· Best Interior Design – Motor Yachts 499GT and below, 39.9m and below
· Best Naval Architecture – Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts
Whatever the eventual outcome, everyone at the yard, designer Guido de Groot and the naval architects at Diana Yacht Design are delighted that Blue Jeans will feature so prominently during BOAT’s 2024 Superyacht Design Festival. This is also further reward for the visionary owners… Their mission to build a yacht like no other in her size range has been vindicated once again!
